3 day basic welding programme to bring candidates in line with EN-9606 standard.

 Cover Safety on MAG Welding
 The Process - Metal Inert Gas (MAG) Welding
 Advantages and Disadvantages
 The MAG Welder
 Gases
 Transfers 3 Types
 Preparation of metal being welded.
 Controlling distortion
 Weld Defects
 The Causes of Cracks
Practical
 Identify and explain all parts of the MAG welder that are relevant to the user
 Demonstrate and explain the difference between a good and a bad weld
 What causes a poor weld and what needs to be changed and improved to achieve a good result
Will monitor and aid the trainee to complete numerous welds to a good quality (where possible)
