About Waterford Skillnet

Skillnets is an enterprise-led support body whose mission is to enhance the skills of people in employment in Irish industry to support competitiveness and employability. The organisation is led by employer and employee stakeholders – IBEC, CCI, SFA, CIF, ICTU – in partnership with the Department of Education and Skills and receives funds from the National Training Fund.

We work closely with members and trainer providers including WIT to develop/deliver programmes required by you allowing your business to manage shift cycles and upskill staff with far greater results. Such programmes may also lead to a QQI/WIT certification and act as the perfect stepping stone into higher education.

Waterford Chamber Skillnet also enables companies to share experiences and explore potential through networking at training and other events. We have had numerous company site visits to date where companies give a short presentation on a relevant topic and a site tour. If you would like to become a member of Waterford Chamber Skillnet or you would like to receive more information on the type of training we provide, please do not hesitate to contact us.
